About the Piece

The "Orion Blue" necklace draws inspiration from the cosmic dance of planets and stars, merging celestial imagery with the grounding presence of natural materials. At its center lies a sphere of blue apatite, a variety of fluorapatite, reminiscent of a distant Earth set adrift in the vastness of space. Surrounding the gemstone are rings of crushed pyrite, creating a planetary effect that evokes the rings of Saturn or the mysterious orbits of planets.

The pendant is set in a base of brass and mixed metals, finished with a subtle antique patina that adds depth and character to the piece. It hangs from a 49 cm (19.3 inches) handcrafted chain, composed of interlocking links of various sizes that form a single, cohesive mother chain. The chain, with its antique finish and 7 mm width, complements the pendant’s textured look, adding a sense of ancient mystery.
