The Fortress, and The Island

Surrealium houses “The Guard”—the original fortified building at the entrance of Vaxholm Fortress, surrounded by the Nordic Sea in Vaxholm, the capital of the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden.

This historic space is home to Surrealium’s jewelry atelier, showroom, and 3D/AI laboratory. Nearby, on a secluded island accessible only by boat, Surrealium’s artist retreat "TORPET" stands as a sanctuary for artistic exploration, just an hour by sea from Stockholm’s Old Town. Spanning classic Swedish countryside cabins and former boat sheds, the 3000-square-meter property serves as an international hub for creativity, with an art atelier, casting foundry, recording studio, and accommodations for visiting artists.

Immersed in the timeless ambiance of 1800s art and the captivating essence of the Stockholm archipelago’s coast, with its historic fortresses and wooden castles, the Surrealium retreat offers a unique environment where inspiration knows no bounds.
